“Wolfgang Bartesch arrived in Budapest from Bonn, Germany as a medical student at the time of the fall of the socialist regime. Later he put up a successful business, he was running a car rental agency, when he came upon the building of the former Haggenmacher brewery in Budafok. Within the brick walls today we find various business ventures, art studios and apartments for artists as well as art exhibitions. Both community and business model can serve as an example.”
